  • Flyers Management Signs New Coach

    New Coach

After a prolonged search process, the Flyers have signed Ryan Marvin as head coach for the upcoming season. Marvin, who coached in New York at Morrisville State College last year, is excited to be able to return to Southern California, where he grew up playing hockey and have the opportunity to now coach at the Junior A tier III level.

Ryan played his junior hockey in Kootenai where he captained his team to a birth at the National Junior B Championships in 2001/2002. He later went on to play at Buffalo State and eventually finished up playing Collegiately at Brockport State in NY where he was once again named captain of the varsity team and he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education.

“We are very pleased to be able to secure an individual with Ryan’s strong coaching and educational background to coach the Flyers” said General Manager Larry Bruyere. “Ryan is committed to developing players and creating opportunities for them to move on to the next level.”

The Flyers finished just out of the playoffs last season and are determined to take the team into the post season this year with a new coach, new attitude and a new group of hungry players.
